Autumnal escapes – wreath workshops to ease out of lockdown

Front door styling with a seasonal autumn wreath

Using vibrant oranges and yellows and rich browns gives these autumn wreath workshops an earthy, wholesome feel but with a touch of elegance thrown in.

These popular door wreath workshops bring the extraordinary beauty of flowers to your everyday, leaving you feeling accomplished as you create a vivid yet natural adornment that will be the envy of all your neighbours.

Wreaths are traditionally a symbol of unity and connection. An autumn wreath often reflects the idea of transition and celebrates the abundance of the harvest festival, giving thanks to the cyclical nature of the ever-changing seasons.

Why have an autumn wreath on your door?

An autumn wreath is a great way to banish the cold dark days as we head into winter and can also brighten up a hallway, enclosed porch or even your living room with some sumptuous hues and textures, bringing the glow of this seasons colours inside.

Your wreath could also be strategically placed to decorate a mantlepiece, a dresser, a table centrepiece or even inside a picture frame.

A variety of fresh or dried flowers may be used, as well as twigs, berries, autumn vegetables such as mini pumpkins and corn, chestnuts, acorns, cones, dried grasses, wheat or even conkers.

What to expect from our wreath workshop

Flowers by Louise’s mission is for all flower workshop participants to discover their creativity and the wonder of flowers whilst having a thoroughly fabulous time. This autumn wreath workshop in Ealing is no exception as you experience the joy of creating something much greater and more satisfying than the sum of its parts. This is not just a “how to make a wreath” workshop.

You’ll be greeted by me with a glass of delicious French bubbly paired with some scrummy nibbles to make the evening feel just a little bit decadent. Bring your mum, aunt, sister, besties or even your gran for a different kind of girls’ night out. Once you’ve chosen your preferred flowers and other foliage, you’ll follow along with the demonstration, creating a stunning piece of bespoke floral artwork for your home. Following a step-by-step approach using a choice of seasonal materials, you’ll create a magnificent wreath that works perfectly for your space.

A multi-sensory experience awaits you in luxurious surroundings where you’ll spend three hours learning how to attach the flowers and foliage, understanding how to use different textures and colours together for optimum visual effect and building a wreath as unique as you are. Take home clear instructions which walk you through the process and details of where to buy the materials so you can rekindle your creativity at a later date.
