Flower workshops in Ealing – pretty parties, wonderful workshops and fabulous fizz

It’s been a while since I blogged and life for everyone has been turned upside down and inside out. As things start to settle a bit and gradually more activities resume, it seems like a good time to give you an update and talk about my plans for Flowers By Louise for the rest of 2020 – virus permitting, naturally.

With many weddings and festivals postponed, the focus for the summer and autumn will be on creating a range of floral events to keep you entertained and your creativity flowing as the nights draw in towards Christmas (yes, sorry to use the C word in August 😊).

Flower workshops in Ealing

Sadly, my beautiful new studio fell victim to the virus and for various reasons I was forced to vacate. I’m on the hunt for somewhere even more fabulous to be my permanent Flowers by Louise home, but for now I have found a gorgeous studio in the heart of Ealing that offers lots of space and light and is clean as a whistle, so we can all stay safe and socially distanced whilst having lots of flower fun.

My vision for these events is a bit different from a run-of-the-mill workshop where you turn up, watch a demo, make your own and then go home.

I’m aiming for a happy, fun and dare I say it, indulgent, immersive sensory experience with the flowers. Of course, there will be demonstrations and explanations, but these floral parties are primarily about enjoying the flowers, the feeling of creating something beautiful, elegant or even something to wear and having fun with family or friends at the same time.

We have all suffered from a lack of human connection and socialising during lockdown, so these events are a super antidote to the tricky last few months.

Flower workshops coming soon include:

Blushing brides and festival floral crowns

If you’ve had your wedding postponed or you’ve missed out on your festival this year, put a bit of sparkle and fun back into your preparations by getting your girls or guys together to make a gorgeous flower headdress, have a natter and a glass or two of French fizz.

This evening of flowery fun is a chance to relax and socialise with your besties and learn a little bit about how to work with flowers that can be worn and ask any questions you might have about your wedding flowers.

Autumnal wreath workshop

Autumn wreath workshop

Following on from the roaring success of the Christmas wreath workshops of years gone by, the spectacular oranges, yellows, deep purple, reds and browns of autumn inspire a fabulously different wreath making experience.

During this 3-hour workshop, you’ll create something beautifully seasonal to decorate your home, as we move from summer into autumn and beyond.

Using a variety of materials, you’ll discover your own sense of creativity and the wonder of flowers whilst having a fabulous time with your friends in an inspiring setting.

Fill your vase flower arranging workshop

Flower workshops

Here’s my recipe for a fun flower-filled evening.

Take:

💐 1 glass vase

💐 an array of vibrant stems

💐 complimentary ribbons and bows

💐 a dash of creativity

💐 a pinch of inspiration AND…

💐 my imagination, knowledge and experience.

Mix them together for a winning combination – a stunning vase arrangement to complement any dining room table.

This 3-hour evening workshop will demystify the art of flower arranging which will have your friends asking

“Where did you buy that?”

Imagine being able to reply, “I made it”

How great would that be?
