Shape Up Your Arms for Your Big Day

Professional personal trainers  tend to focus on things like core strength, functional work and whole body movements. However, when it comes to your Wedding Day, we know that looking fabulous, in the best dress you’ll ever wear, is all important.

So, how to get those sort after toned arms?

Follow these 3 exercises to achieve strong, toned and shapely arms & shoulders that will show that dress off.

These are simple exercises that you can do at home or in the gym.

  1. Press Ups

Press Ups are about as good as it gets for toning and shaping your arms and upper body ” says top trainer, Roy Summers.

Always, always do full press ups, never on your knees or ¾ ones!

Even if you can only do one today, then tomorrow you may be able to do two and so on….

You should aim to build up towards 3 sets of 10-15 reps 3-4 times a week

  1. Tricep Dips

These are a little easier, but work those triceps (aka bingo wings!) like no other exercise! You can use a chair (make sure it’s secure, so it does’nt slide out from underneath you) or the edge of your sofa  or even a bench in the park if you’re a lover of the fresh air.  Again, aim to build up to 3 sets of 10-15 reps 3-4 time a  week

  1. Upright Row/Shoulder Press

For these ones you will need some dumb-bells, but it will be worth the investment!

The video shows you all you need to know to perform these exercises back-to-back and, like the other two exercises in this post, aim to perform the reps very slowly to get the best result and shape for your arms.

Once again, aim for 3 sets of 10-15 reps of each exercise 3-4 times a week
