Hi everyone, I’m Louise and my company is Flowers by Louise.
I’ve been in love with flowers for over 25 years. I walked into a friends flower shop in 1997 and within minutes, I knew I had found my future.
The colours and textures and the scent, oh my goodness it was all so mind blowing … I spent an hour or two in the shop that day, catching up and just watching her as she manipulated flowers into amazing bouquets and arrangements, and customers came and went, always leaving with a smile. I wanted some of that, I thought, so I started working for her on a Saturday just to make sure it wasn’t just a fleeting fantasy. It wasn’t.
Lucky for me, some time later she and her husband moved out of London and I jumped at the opportunity to take over the flower shop. Just like that, I was a business owner and a florist. I mostly learned on the job, found my own style, discovered even more passion for flowers just wandering the aisles of Covent Garden flower market at crazy o’clock…
And that was the start of my flowers journey.
I moved around Ealing with my flower business, opening a bigger shop and then a high street shop and ran a beautiful business with some lovely staff for 20 years.
A few years ago, I decided I wanted a bit more work life balance and I went freelance. I now work from home and a variety of different studies, designing bouquets and arrangements for weddings, events and running workshops, desperate to share what I’ve learned along the way.

My studio offers a fabulous setting in which to discuss all your wedding day ideas, whether you’ve been planning them in your head since you were young or looking for inspiration.
A stack of stunning portfolios, flower magazines galore, and 20 years of creative design experience to call on will be available to help create a wedding day to remember. A warm and friendly welcome awaits and from design to delivery you’re in very safe hands.

I don’t know quite what it is about creating wedding flowers that gives me such a sense of fulfilment. I guess it’s just everything coming together after all the weeks and months of preparation and design decisions.”
My Passion
I can wake up stressed, tired and a bit irritable like everyone else and feel the pressures of getting breakfast done and children out the door, early mornings and deadlines to meet … but as soon as I’ve started working with flowers, everything fades away and I’m able to use the flowers and the designing process as my own sort of therapy.
Flowers are so uplifting and the colours, wow sometimes they just take my breath away. I want to share this passion with you, to bring a little of each season into your home in whatever way you can.
Have dinner parties and show off your newly acquired flower arranging skills to your friends and family (in my opinion a table isn’t complete without the addition of flowers).
Your coffee table will bring a smile to your face as you’re watching your favourite tv show and from the corner of your eye you can see your stunning creation.
And when you come home from a busy day the seasonal wreath on your door will greet you like a fabulous old friend, welcoming your home, making you smile and putting you in the perfect mood as you walk in.
I have well over 400 Weddings to my name now and it continues to be a major passion of mine. I have regularly featured in Wedding Flower Magazine and am on the list of preferred florist at my favourite wedding venue, Syon Park, where I also got married myself!
I also have a strong desire to offer beautiful and fitting funeral tributes and sympathy bouquets. I believe it’s one of the most important floral purchases you can make and it’s my duty to ensure that you parting message is received in the most wonderful way.
