Funeral Flowers Guide

Our Funeral Flower Guide will provide you with support and guidance to make the right choice for funeral flowers and tributes.

What funeral tribute should I choose?

funeral flower collectionSelecting an appropriate floral tribute for a funeral can be daunting, especially at such a sad time.  Family members are usually responsible for making the funeral arrangements so it is wise to be sensitive and respectful of religious, cultural and personal preferences.

You should also take into consideration your relationship to the deceased and the wishes and commitments of the immediate family members and which funeral tributes the family might be selecting themselves.  In some cases a theme for the funeral flowers may be requested, such as a colour scheme or perhaps a certain type of flower.

Our guide will help you make the right choice but if you are in any doubt please do check with the family.

When and how should I place my order?

When ordering funeral flowers please try and place your order at least 24 hours before the funeral and at least 48 hours for Casket Sprays and Bespoke Tributes due to their complexity. Orders must be made by 2pm for next day delivery. There are no deliveries on Sundays.

Please note, we can only deliver to West London postcodes. Delivery charges are £5 for local London postcodes W3, W7, W5, W13, TW18. £9 delivery charge for all other West London postcodes.

Please contact us directly to organise any special deliveries/early morning deliveries etc as these may have to be delivered the day before.

Some of the most common delivery options are outlined below.

Funeral Directors/Parlour

If time allows, floral tributes are usually delivered to the Funeral Directors, where the deceased is at rest, either the day before or morning of the funeral.  This enables the undertakers to place the flowers with the coffin before arriving at the family home or place of worship for the funeral service.

Family Home or Other Residential Address

On some occasions, the deceased may be at rest at the family home and will be removed from there by the undertakers to the funeral service.  In this case, flowers can be delivered directly to the home address.  If there is sufficient time and space available, the funeral flowers are often displayed prior to being placed with the coffin to commence the funeral procession to the funeral service destination.  Alternatively, if you prefer to send a sympathy tribute to the family members please ensure that someone will be available at the address to receive the flowers.

Place of Worship or Crematorium

Unless you have been advised to do so, sending flowers directly to the place of worship or crematorium should be avoided if possible.

What message should I send with the flowers?

Funeral tribute and sympathy card messages can be difficult to compose during such a sad time. Just a few words of heartfelt sentiment will be appreciated. We have supplied a few simple examples below that may help you write your message should you require assistance;

“With love and fond memories of (name of deceased) from (Your name)”

“In loving memory of a dear friend, with love (Your name)”

“Dearest (name of deceased), May you rest in peace. Love from (Your name) x x”

“With deepest sympathy from (Your name)”

“Our hearts are filled with sorrow. Rest in Peace Love from (Your name)”

“(name of deceased) you will always be in our hearts and minds Lots of Love (Your name)”

“Now at peace with you loved ones, fond memories, your friend (Your name)”
