My Story
I’m Louise and my business is Flowers by Louise.
I’ve been in love with flowers for over 25 years. I walked into a friends flower shop in 1997 and within minutes, I knew I had found my future.
The colours and textures and the scent, oh my goodness it was all so mind blowing … I spent an hour or two in the shop that day, catching up and just watching her as she manipulated flowers into amazing bouquets and arrangements, and customers came and went, always leaving with a smile. I wanted some of that, I thought, so I started working for her on a Saturday just to make sure it wasn’t just a fleeting fantasy. It wasn’t.
Lucky for me, some time later she and her husband moved out of London and I jumped at the opportunity to take over the flower shop. Just like that, I was a business owner and a florist. I mostly learned on the job, found my own style, discovered even more passion for flowers just wandering the aisles of Covent Garden flower market at crazy o’clock…
And that was the start of my flowers journey.
I moved around Ealing with my flower business, opening a bigger shop and then a high street shop and ran a beautiful business with some lovely staff for 20 years.
A few years ago, I decided I wanted a bit more work life balance and I went freelance. I now work from home and a variety of different studies, designing bouquets and arrangements for weddings, events and running workshops, desperate to share what I’ve learned along the way.
With over 25 years of experience in bespoke wedding floristry, I bring creativity, passion, and an exceptional eye for design to every celebration.

I still find it hard to put into words what it means to be part of someone’s wedding day. After all the planning, the decisions, the months of preparation — watching it all come together through flowers is something truly special. It’s a privilege I never take for granted.
